JAIPUR
Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan popularly known as the 'Pink City'. Jaipur architecture carries an interesting tale about its title. The city was constructed in 1727 AD by one of it's supreme ruler king Sawai Jai Singh, the city was painted pink at the time of its conception and re-painted with the same colour in 1876 to welcome the Prince of Wales who visited Jaipur in that year. more»
